The text for this Comic Book Poem comes from a real life scene I witnessed of a woman attached to a drip, smoking cigarettes in a no smoking zone outside of a hospital. I formed the scene as a short Poem which is a haiku of sorts, although not a formal traditional one. Following Comic Book Poems in this series will take a similar structure.
Blind Shame
A pregnant woman
Outside a shut hospital
Smoking cigarettes.
