As stated in the Writing a Comic Book Poem – A Big Fucking Fox blog post the design for the character came before the poetry for the Comic Book Poem was written. I wanted the fox to have a basic design and not really stand out – apart from his huge tail. The tail is gigantic and I didn’t want to concern myself with the logistics of how a fox with a tail that big can stand up. He just does.
The forest itself is fairly flat, with the trees being rigid and angular. This created a somewhat claustrophobic forest for our fox character to inhabit. As with the other Comic Book Poems in this series, Marker Pens and fineliners were used to illustrate the Comic Book Poem.
